Preseason preparations for Valencia CF begin in earnest on Monday, July 8th, as members of the squad return to the Ciudad Deportiva. An exciting campaign lies ahead, and coach Marcelino will be looking to get his players ready for the four competitions in which they will compete: LaLiga, the Champions League, the Spanish Supercopa and the defence of their Copa del Rey crown.
The first batch of players will arrive at the VCF training facility tomorrow morning at 9am, to undergo the customary summer medical examinations. The following will be the initial group to begin training: Jaume, Santi Mina, Rubén Sobrino, Garay, Jorge Sáenz, Álvaro Medrán, Jason, Salva Ruiz, Fran Villalba, Javi Jiménez, Cristian and Pascu Alba.
The following day, Tuesday July 9th, they will be joined by Gabriel Paulista, Kondogbia, Gameiro, Diakhaby, Coquelin, Piccini, Cillessen, Murillo, Joaquín Blazquez and Koba Koindredi.
Some of the Valencia CF internationals will come back on July 15th, when Gonçalo Guedes, Dani Parejo, José Luis Gayà, Kang In, Daniel Wass, Rodrigo Moreno and Manu Vallejo return from their summer break, having represented their respective countries in recent weeks.
Uros Racic will join up with the group on July 19th, and Carlos Soler will do so on July 24th, when the squad arrive back from their training camp in Crans Montana (Switzerland).
Ferran Torres is away with the Spanish Under-19s side, whilst Nacho Gil and Aymen Abdennour have yet to have their return date confirmed.
